Welcome to Bill Cunningham Associates Training
We all have a duty to look after ourselves and most of us know the importance of a healthy diet and regular exercise in order to maintain a healthy body.
However, it is equally important to understand factors that may affect our emotional wellbeing and mental health if we want to be truly healthy and live our lives to their full potential.
While there is plenty of advice and training available to educate ordinary people about their physical health, courses that teach a common-sense approach to monitoring mental health and improving it are a lot harder to come by.
Bill Cunningham Associates Training exists to redress that balance.
Our trainers have a wealth of experience in delivering just that sort of training to ordinary people. You won't hear any complex medical jargon on a BCA course. Instead, you will hear everyday language being used to demystify and destigmatise.
All of us are likely to experience some form of emotional or mental health problem at some point in our lives. People leave a BCA course with a better understanding of the factors that can affect their health and how to maintain and improve it. They also leave with a set of skills that will give them the confidence they need to engage with a fellow human being in distress and guide them to the right kind of help, quickly.
These courses are especially relevant in the workplace. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development recently reported that stress and depression is the most common cause of long-term sickness absence for both manual and non-manual employees. Training your people in these areas is therefore vital in both a human and a business sense.
Please contact us with any questions you may have about MHFA, Mental Health Awareness for Managers (MHAfM) , MHFA Instructor Training, YouthMHFA, or any other courses and workshops BCA offer.
STOP PRESS: Make sure you take time to look at our new Mental Health Awareness for Managers (MHAfM) half day workshop. It's a great stand alone course for line managers but also serves as a useful introduction to Mental Health First Aid
